Kitchen and Bathroom Plans

Image
Here are the plans for the Kitchen and Bathroom... Not sure where Rob the Builder is up to with the Kitchen, I know he hasn't started on the bathroom yet.

Progress

Well it has started! Olly went to The Pines last weekend to take some light fittings, a large bathroom mirror and outside light down so Rob can put them up. The lounge is full of boxes, the new kitchen and bathroom fittings have arrived and they are all mingling with bits of the old kitchen in the lounge. Rob the builder had to move the water stopcock (a job we didn't plan) as the new kitchen cupboard was in an awkward place. He has removed the floor tiles and wall tiles and started to fit the new kitchen cupboards. Rob did say he would send photos but I am guessing it's not top of his priority list so updates may be just words with the odd photo if he remembers! We may not be able to go down and finish decorating and start furnishing the place until after Christmas but keep popping back for more updates.

Summer's end

So we managed two weeks at The Pines in August I have put lots of photos of our trip on my latest post over on my Everyday life Blog here . We managed some decorating too... The chair and footstool was unpacked. This will be in our 'reading corner' of the lounge. We talked to our lovely builder, Rob about a few extra jobs we want him to do. Dove grey doors, brush metal handles (not shown in photo above) Dark grey marble worktop and olive green splash back. We bought a rather splendid light for the landing to hang over the stairs (from Made.com) I had to leave the choosing o...

July weekend visits

We managed two visits to The Pines in July. Both weekends involved more sanding (yes I know!) but some lovely exploring too! I was let off the sanding the first weekend as I had just had an injection in my shoulder so had to rest it! I left Olly to it and went for a walk from the house to the beach. This was another carved throne I found on a little playing field near the beach. The day was a bit drizzly, but later we went for a little wander around Porthmadog, we needed to buy more sand paper!  The next day was a lot brighter, after a lovely lunch at another of our favourite cafes, Llew Glass we walked up the lanes behind Harlech and was rewarded by some fantastic views... A few weeks later we were back there... Harlech Castle We had a trip to Criccieth. another good spot for lunch... We found a new view point too! then back to The Pines for, you guessed it... More sanding! That evening we listened to a murder mystery on Radio 4 and ate homemade roasted vegetables with gnoc...
