The following photos have gone on backwards (again!!) It is a walk from Barmouth up over the hill behind the town and back down the lane back to town.

 So we find ourselves owners of our very own Holiday home! Glan Gors is a small estate of modern homes, of various sizes built between 1975 and 1980. We have been holidaying here at a friend of Olly's mum's house for the past 14 years.  Over the next year we plan to breathe new life into this tired 2 bed-roomed apartment. A flying visit

 A weekend in February. We drive down on the Friday evening. In time to catch a meal at The Grapes at Maentwrog. The next morning we checked on the daffodils we planted last October. I'm not sure why all my photos keep going on in the wrong order! Blogger playing up! So this was Our last day, the Monday. The weekend had been very grey and drizzly. A visit to Llandanwg. Lunch at Y Maes Cafe. The tiny church was open so we had a peep inside. The rooks were coming in to roost in the pine trees. This is the Paris map we framed and put up on Saturday morning. On the Sunday we went to Caernarfon A trip to Barmouth on Saturday. We couldn't see anything from the mountain that day! Brunch before we take a walk around the little alleyways behind the main street. So a flying visit on a drizzly weekend in February.

Christmas at The Pines

After a busy run up to Christmas Hubby and I drove down to the Pines for our first Christmas there. We have been many times between Christmas and the New Year but we decided to ring the changes this year and have the Big Day itself at our happy place. When we arrived, it was still light-just! First Job to set up our twig Christmas tree. and string up a few lights. Then have a G&T! and an After Eight. Christmas Morning was lovely and Sunny.  Stocking presents opened then a walk on the beach Along the beach towards the railway crossing. Up to Llanfair and back along the top road to Harlech. Time for a coffee before preparing Christmas Dinner. It did feel kind of strange not being at home, but we enjoyed it. We did miss the cats though. It was late before we opened all our Christmas presents. I bought this lovely Owl from Hawksby's in Haworth for Hubby. Another gorgeous morning on Boxing Day. After a coffee we went to Beddgelert and walked up the river towards the Copper Mines. A ...
