October weekend

With one thing and another we didn't get chance to go to The Pines in September but we  squeezed a visit in at the end of October for a few days.

We met up with friends for a walk along Harlech Beach and back along the top road to Harlech.

And then we all went for tea at The Grapes in Maentwrog

We have a new painting for the Pines. A painting done by my lovely Mother in Law of Bird Rock. Here it is standing below the other painting by her already hanging at the pines.

The next day was showery and we decided to go to Llandudno

A ride on the big wheel...

A walk along the pier...

A play in the arcade...

and sheltering from the rain!

Then as the sun set we stayed to watch the final finish ramp parade of the Rally Car Championship.

We have another picture ready to go up in the lounge. A reproduction of a travel poster.
The following have gone on back to front! (why does Blogger do that?)

This is the last day we were there. We went for lunch and a walk at Llandanwg.

Y Maes Cafe...the best cheesy beans ever!

That morning we planted 80 daffodil bulbs in the grass bank across from the flat. We should see daffodils next spring from the lounge and bedroom windows!

Then of course these are also back to front...the day before finished in Harlech after an hour or two in Criccieth,

I had a hot chocolate from Cadwaladers but Olly had an ice cream!

Before Criccieth we had been to Borth-y-Gest for lunch

The Sea View Cafe, in Borth-y-Gest

So that is the end of our little trip to The Pines for October. We plan to pop down in November for a weekend and already booked a cat sitter for in between Christmas and New Year!
edited. We have had to sort out my mother in laws house these past few weekends so we are unable to visit The Pines. We are looking forward to the break between Christmas and New Year still.

  1. So much to see and do over there. You always take the loveliest pictures. Always love seeing the crochet toppers on display. The Pines is a very cozy and nice place to be.

I for one still do not like the changes made to the blogger platform. Nothing works as easily or straightforward as it used to.

    Take care.
