Summer at The Pines part 1

We were lucky enough to have two weeks at The Pines in August. The weeks were not together but still two weeks away during a heat wave in the UK!

August 6th - 14th

We Drove down on the 6th.

First a few chores...

Temporary curtains up in the bedroom.
More flat pack storage units from IKEA to be made.

Spare bedroom bedside table,

A walk around Harlech

Then to Llandanwg

The next days photos have gone on in reverse order!

as you can see it ended with a G&T at The Plas in Harlech.

we deserved it after a BIG walk.
Llyn Cwm Bychan is a lake in north Wales, and is one of the sources of the River Artro which flows south westwards through Llanbedr and onwards to the sea. It is located in the Rhinogydd mountains of Snowdonia.
We walked up the Roman Steps from Llyn Cwm Bychan

To see this amazing view.

The next day more chores at The Pines.

But we did manage an evening walk down on the Afon Dwyryd estuary. We saw two kingfishers!

And so the days went on...

...a bit of work a lot of leisure.

We visited Tremadog where Lawrence of Arabia was born

It was actually too hot to do much to be honest.

Don't know why but the next lot of photos are back to front too!

The day finished with a cooling swim at Harlech Beach after we had a visit from friends with their little doggie!

Another day we spent exploring Conwy.

Finished off with an evening meal at The Grapes in Maentwrog

Another day, another walk and another evening swim, this time in Criccieth.

Then it was our last day...but we would be back in a weeks time...
