A long weekend inJuly

We were lucky enough to have a long weekend at the Pines near the end of July.

So when we arrived late on the Thursday evening the scaffolding was still up. We have had the front of the flat painted.
The scaffolding was due to be taken down on Saturday so on Friday we climbed to the top to look at the roof and the view.

another job that needed doing this weekend was to put up the curtain in the lounge, (we were given the curtains by a friend)

A slice of blackcurrant cake before we tackle the making of the spare room bed...literally.

The lounge curtains.

After our chores we went for a walk from Porthmadog to Borth-y-Gest

Where we had a well deserved ice cream.

For Sale...a lovely shop

The next day we went to Aberdyfi

A bit more work back at the Pines (Blogger decided the above photos should go here!)

On the way back to The Pines we went to visit Bird Rock and Castell y Bere

We bought some scones from this lovely stall.

We also stopped off at Llangelynnin to photograph the fantastic yarn bombing.

On Sunday we went to Barmouth.

Then it was time to leave... until August.

  1. It will be wonderful when you can visit, without projects to complete. I totally enjoyed all your flower photos and the yarn bombing. I want to Christmas yarn bomb the trees in my garden, but am having difficulty finding patterns to get started. I am not creative enough to just start knitting or crocheting.
